David Miller
A Premier Energy Industry Consultant
David Miller is the founder of Landmark II Consulting. He previously served as Senior Advisor, Global Industry Services at the American Petroleum Institute after a long career with the Institute. In that role he provided guidance and perspective on overall standards policy, procedures, and initiatives in support of Global Standards Strategy and API’s Climate Action Framework. He began his career with Gearhart Industries in Ft. Worth, Texas.
David also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as a Vice Chair and chairs the ANSI Finance Committee. He is also a member of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group to ISO Technical Committee 265, Carbon dioxide capture, transportation, and geological storage. He has also served on several federally chartered advisory committees and has testified before the U.S. Congress, Federal and State regulators on standards and technology issues. He has recently presented at the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Offshore Technology Conference, the World Petroleum Council, and the International School of Hydrocarbon Measurement. David is also a member of the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation’s Accreditation Council.
David is a registered professional engineer and earned a BS degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah, a MS degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Texas at Dallas and has been elected a Fellow by the American Society of Civil Engineers, where he serves on the Membership Application Review Committee and the Members of Society Advancing an Inclusive Culture, or MOSAIC committee.
